The Fraser Valley Food Show is showcasing the magic of food and cooking at the Tradex Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford, BC. Taste and purchase food from local artisan growers & producers and condiments, spices and a variety of hard to find food and beverage products. Enjoy the celebrity chef demonstrations, sausage making competitions, cheese and wine seminars, Bite of the Valley participating restaurants and the Grapes and Hops wine/beer/spirits tasting pavilion. Also, don’t miss two brand new areas on the show floor: The Living Garden and the Spring Craft Market.
Throughout the three days of the show The Celebrity Stage will feature top chefs and featured presentations. This year’s headliner celebrity chef is Bob Blumer, Food network’s Surreal Gourmet.
Celebrity chefs, popular local restaurants, wineries, food and beverage manufacturers, cookbook authors, retailers, artisans, and many others from the culinary world will come together for a three day public extravaganza at the TRADEX Exhibition Centre. The Fraser Valley Food Show encompasses unique food experiences, opportunities to learn behind-the-scenes culinary magic from professional chefs, dynamic entertainment through celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, diverse food, beverage and cooking related exhibits; and of course fantastic shopping opportunities.
Three years ago we have also launched the Gluten-Free Living Show in response to the overwhelming number of people seeking gluten-free products. This is the first time such an event has been organized in the Fraser Valley. The first two Gluten Free Living shows were fantastic!!! This year the GF exhibitors will fill half the show floor!!!

Here are the recipes plus a bonus cocktail recipe for the old fashioned we briefly mentioned:
1 1/2 oz cantaloupe infused pisco
1/2 oz Cocchi Rosa
1 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz honey
Shaken over ice, fine strain over rocks in a Collins glass, top with Strangefellows Talisman. Garnish with mint sprig and a slice of cantaloupe
45 ml Old Grand Dad bourbon
15 ml Goslings dark rum
1 bar spoon of Siete Misterios Espadin mezcal
1 bar spoon of maple syrup
3 dashes Apothecary coffee & cacao bitters
Combine and stir over ice until diluted, strain over rocks and garnish with orange peel
